The device
DICo ® is an innovative device, designed specifically to allow communication of patients temporarily unable to speak, such as those admitted to intensive care units with intubation or tracheostomy.
The DICo algorithm, after a short learning phase, is able to “translate” any movement that the patient is able to perform (with the head, hand, foot or limb) into a word or a sentence that the patient intends to communicate.
The dedicated APP provides different modes of interaction, which adapt to the characteristics of the patient. DICo can be used to communicate with operators and family members, but the patient can also compose texts independently, without the help of an operator.
